Introduction
BOOKUSD is a decentralized borrowing protocol built on the Binance Smart Chain. It enables users to access interest-free loans by collateralizing their BOOK. Loans are issued in BUD, a USD-pegged stablecoin. The protocol is governed by the BUSS Token. Key Features: Interest-Free Borrowing: Borrowers can take out loans without incurring interest.
BUD Stablecoin: Loans are issued in BUD, which is soft-pegged to the USD.
Fully Decentralized: BOOKUSD operates with no central authority. Tokens: BOOK token: The featured utility token of the BOOKUSD platform. Initial BUSS Trading
50,000 BUSS was paired with 46 BNB for initial liquidity.
How It Works:
Collateralization:
Users deposit BOOK into the protocol as collateral to open a trove. The collateral must maintain a minimum ratio of 140% relative to the borrowed BUD. Borrowing: Borrowers can withdraw BUD up to their borrowing limit, determined by the collateral ratio.
A one-time borrow fee ( 4% ) is applied to the loan.
Redemption: BUD holders can redeem their tokens for BOOK at face value, ensuring the stability of BUD's USD peg. A redemption fee incentivizes stability and discourages frequent redemptions.
Liquidation: If a troves collateral ratio falls below 140%, that trove is liquidated to ensure the system's solvency. Stability Pool: Users can deposit BUD into the Stability Pool, which is used to absorb liquidated debt. Depositors earn BUSS rewards.
